INTRODUCTION:


Titan Access is the world's best Access
interface for Inprise's Delphi and C++ Builder
development tools.  This file provides
late-breaking news and information on Titan that
could not be included in the manual.


UPGRADE WARNING:

We are using a completely new registration
and password management scheme for this upgrade.
Be sure you have registered your current copy as
we are not going to allow upgrades for anyone not
registered.  We now provide each registered user
with their own unique password sent via email, so
if you are not registered we can't send you the
upgrade password.

WHAT'S NEW:

* Titan no longer includes a package
  for InfoPower 2000. All uses of 
  TwwtaTable and TwwtaQuery will
  need to be changed to be TtaTable and
  TtaQuery types respectively.  Edit
  your DFM and .PAS files accordingly.  

* Titan now includes a help file!

* This version supports the DAO 3.6 which
  comes with Access 2000.  Please note that
  the Titan Version preference setting for
  forcing a particular version of the DAO
  now accepts the value 36 in addition to
  30 and 35.  Without a DAO version preference
  Titan looks for DAO 3.6, then 3.5, and
  finally 3.0.  Please see the manual or the
  help file for more information on this
  setting.


PRICING & UPGRADES:

This product is priced like all other Titan
engines and is $395 for the run-time version, and
$595 for the source code version.

You can upgrade your run-time version to this
latest version for $129 USD, and you can upgrade
your source code version for $199 USD.  For a limited
time only, you can upgrade your run-time version to
the source code version for $199 USD.  See the Order
Form for details.

If you purchased Titan in September, October, November,
or December of 1999, then the upgrade is free.


REQUIREMENTS:

To use this product you MUST have:

* C++ Builder 1.0
* Access 95, 97 or 2000 for Windows 9x/NT or
  the Jet 3.0, 3.5, or 3.6 engine.

Titan uses the Data Access Objects (DAO) interface
to connect to the Jet database engine that Access uses.
Please note that Titan does NOT ship with the
Access engine or the DAO interface Titan requires.
Access and the DAO can be obtained from Microsoft
directly.



TEST DRIVERS:

If this version is a Titan Test Drive version,
then the product is fully functional except that
your Inprise tool must be running when your
compiled applications are run. Please note that it
is in violation of the Titan license agreement to
use a Test drive version for anything other than
product evaluation.

MAINTENANCE:

Reggatta Systems now provides an annual maintenance
program that includes free upgrades for one year at
a cost of $200 per year.

The Titan Access list server is now free to all
REGISTERED users, so get your registration card
back to us right away.

FINAL COMMENTS:

The Titan license agreement states that you need one
copy of Titan for each developer using the product.
If you have multiple developers sharing one version
of Titan, you should contact Reggatta Systems to obtain
the correct number of licenses.  We don't want to have
to impose some sort of copy protection, and we want
to continue to provide you with a quality product.
